The Company O&G operator seeks for a Sr Subsea Engineer to work in Rio de Janeiro - working model : hybrid.
The Subsea Engineer will be resident at the main Subsea Hardware Supplier site(s) and attend key sub-contract sites, to manage the design, manufacture, assembly and test of the Wellhead, Tubing Hanger, Xmas Tree and associated Tooling including Workover Controls.
The Subsea Engineer shall report to the Lead Subsea Wells Engineer and Drilling Manager on the Project and interface directly with other Project disciplines to manage interfaces and ensure the design and manufacture of safe and efficient equipment for the installation, workover and operational phases of the project. The Subsea Engineer shall either transition into the operational phase of the project or work closely with the operational team to ensure robust procedures that optimise Rig efficiency for the installed equipment. The Subsea Engineer will evaluate, assess and promote technical solutions and report on findings from detailed technical analysis of new ventures and potential company field acquisitions.
Key duties include:
Ensure Drilling and Completion Team schedule and/or Project Schedule is supported by ensuring on-time delivery by Subsea Hardware Supplier.
Manage change-control with the Subsea Hardware Supplier
Manage cost-control with the Subsea Hardware Supplier and Subsea Team to minimise Variation Orders and cost growth by discussing all claims at the earliest opportunity
Responsible for management of the System Engineering Design by the Hardware Supplier to ensure this optimises interfaces and operability of the overall subsea system.
Experience : Minimum 5 – 10 years direct Subsea Engineering experience with in-depth knowledge and experience of; subsea Wellhead & Xmas Tree equipment design, project management and subsea Wellhead and Xmas Tree installation/ operational experience. Responsibilities held shall include Subsea Engineering roles preferably within Operator Wells and/ or Project organisations. Experience with Brazilian Operational Safety Regulatory Compliance (SGSO / SGIP / SGSS) is a plus.
