Oil & Gas multinational seeks for a Senior Reservoir Engineer to work in Rio de Janeiro.

The role:

The Reservoir Engineer will be responsible for the long-term management, development and optimization of the fields, using as main tools reservoir simulation models or other analytical techniques

Accountabilities and key duties:

• Maintaining reservoir model and monitoring reservoir performance. Constantly seeking out opportunities to optimize production and / or increase recovery. Providing technically robust inputs into economic models, to support and recommend field development and / or well intervention activity.
• Responsible for both reservoir management and for developing ideas that improve reservoir and production performance, adding value to the non-operated assets portfolio.
• Representing the company at meetings, both operating committee and various other sub-committee forums (e.g. subsurface committee, peer-review, peer-assist etc.), to challenge and influence the Operators of the assets that comprise the non-operated assets portfolio, in order to improve reservoir and production performance.
• Support Gas Management and enhance recovery studies
• Manage reserve forecasting and document preparation
• Prepare technical inputs for Annual Work Plan & Budget, Long Range Plan, Reserves…
• Work with multi-functional Teams (Wells, Reservoir Studies, Commercial, Procurement, etc.) to ensure timely, even maturation of opportunities
• Monitor budget and timing of designed projects and deliverables
• Mentor and coach junior staff
